What is MNRE?

MNRE stands for the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. It is the central ministry responsible for developing and promoting renewable energy in India, including solar, wind, bioenergy and other renewable-energy technologies. MNRE publishes policies, guidelines, programmes and technical requirements related to renewable energy.
