What is Gross Metering?

Gross metering is a grid-connected solar arrangement in which electricity generated by a solar system is measured separately and supplied to the grid under the applicable regulatory and commercial framework. Unlike net metering, generation and consumption may be accounted for separately according to the relevant state policy or electricity regulations.
